Flooded my housing today, unbelieveably my camera is 99% okay, besides it wont read memory cards, reallllly pissed off as i was half way out and somhow water creeped in. Other than that had a realllly fun surf on the beaches with some mates.

A day off work.

On thursday I took the day off work hoping to shoot some fun little waves down in Caloundra
Me and max surfed carties pretty fun, and we were joined by Barret, Shauny and Beau
Im absolutely devastated in the outcome of my shots, there was zinc smudged on my port and it wasn't coming off at all, so droplets were sweating the port like a pedophile at a wiggles concert. Alot of the shots had real good composition etc, it was just the droplets that ruined it for me and As i was coming in, the tie on my leash to my housing decided to just break, lost my camera underwater for about a minute, this is the first time it's happened to me as you can imagine i was absolutely freaking out, then it popped up, right in front of the finger rock with not a scratch so i was pretty thankful.
Anyway, today the waves are turd, again, and they probably will be next week, and maybe even the week after. So i'm using all this rain and wind as an advantage to get some stuff done at home.

Heres a couple of shots i managed to obtain that weren't so bad in the way of seedy water droplets.

Empty (would have ruined the photo trying to rotate this one, so I have left it as is, maybe for a bit of exercise in this vile weather you can turn your head a little)

Okay, I've been extremely lazy....

Okay, I've been extremely lazy....

In the past month or two i've seen some pretty average surf, heard of 10 foot swells, but then again
I live on the Sunshine Coast, so of course this is pretty much unheard of these days. In the time between my last blog and now i've turned 18, bought a new car, picked up a job as a labourer and taken very minimal photos and have been fairly pissed most of my weekends.
Heres a little gathering of snaps I finally looked at this morning and decided to throw on here.

Enos, my favourite home wave was absolutely packed by people from all over the coast on the last swell we had. There were many fights, many skis and a lot of kooks. When these swells turn up it sort of puts me off even being around my local altogether.

Noosa

The coast has a little bit of swell at the moment from a formed cyclone hanging off the east coast of Australia.
Went for a swim at decker this morning, only got one shot that i thought was worth keeping, didn't particularly like it enough to blog but I thought i would anyway seen as I haven'dated in like a month. Dylon Parr got some sick shots at the bar today which I am looking forward to seeing on the big screen.

A Small Sheet

Rain

Went into the city today to get my sensor cleaned, was quite surprising as to how dirty it was, and what a good job that the team at Anderson's Camera Repairs do. Highly recommend for any Nikon users, for repairs or sensor cleaning, this is definetly the place in Queensland to go, saves money sending it to Nikon Headquarters and getting them to do it, and have your camera for a week where as Anderson's have the job done in around 2 and a half hours. Other than that expected sunny skies, once again rain was off putting for photos, although did enjoy watching commodores underwater in the flash flooding out of the city. Cruised on home back to Noosa to discover how silly I am being here when i could quite easily be in Hawaii for the IBA Turbo comp at Pipeline, am thinking about departing in the next few days, we will see what happens. Other than all the chit chat going to be booking flights for Bali this week, pretty stoked.
It will be good to leave the country and get away from this 1-2 foot windswell madness.
